I have a V2Premier PC that is 3 years old. Last May I had a new motherboard
installed at a computer store (ASUS P4SGX-MX). I have Windows XP on my
computer. Two months ago, because of many problems, my daughter reforemated
my hard drive and reinstalled Windows XP Prof Upgrade. I had no sound after
the reformatting and installation. I have gone to the V2Premier website and
downloaded drivers, but still no sound. The drivers are on my computer, but
I don't know how to install them. I need help! By the way, I am pretty
computer savy for 64, but this is too advanced for me to do without help. I
hope someone can walk me through this procedure.

Thank you,
Veronica Kelly

Sound drivers

If you had the motherboard replaced you may be using the incorrect sound drivers.

Going by the information on the V2premier website they use ECS motherboards and not ASUS.

I would suggest reinstalling the drivers from your motherboard disk or downloading them from the ASUS support site.
