Sound problem

Hi,
i have recently encountered problem with sound.
sound is all scratchy and distorted.
i have tried using the support centre, but that cant find
any of the help pages.

this affects all sound that the computer produces

please can anyone help.

Scratchy or distorted sound can be the results of physical damage
to the speakers, or the result of electro-magnetic interference along
the wires. Have you eliminated both of these possibilities?
