Sound card not working

hi,

i ve intel 810 board and windows xp is installed on it. my
built in sound card has a bad voice i mean that it has
some bad sound in its right speaker. when i install a new
sound card on a pci slot. it installs its drivvers but the
sound does not comes out of it.
let me know what the problem is.

If you install a new PCI sound card don't forget to disable the onboard
sound in the bios.
