Sound Blaster Audigy Static

I have a sound blaster audigy ex sound card. When I play
music or whatever through media player, there is no
problem, however, any system sound or internet sounds
cause static and popping. I have tried reinstalling the
software, cards in different slots, resetting IRQ's,
everything. I was wondering if anyone can help. PLEASE!!

When you say "reinstalling the software" are you just installing the
software that came on the CD with the card? If yes, then go to
Creative's website and download the latest drivers.
