Sorting Subtotals

My spreadsheet has a column which contains data which can
have more than one occurance. I have grouped each
occurance of the same value together and then applied a
subtotal to count the number of occurances of each value,
but then want to sort my entire spreadsheet by the value
of the subtotal, so it lists all the data in order of the
subtotal, ie showing those values that are more frequent
first right down to the least frequent?
Any ideas on how I can do this?
Tried using a pivot table but don't think it can cope
with all the columns I need to be displayed as it doesn't
generate a pivot table.

Thanks

Try hiding the rows so only the subtotals appear (use the outlining symbols on
the left hand side), then do your sort and show the details.

Hi

Managed to hide the details to show only the subtotals,
highlighted the whole sheet then sorted by the column in
which the subtotals appeared, but it only sorted the
first few rows and left the rest unsorted.

Would appreciate any further ideas you may have.

Thanks
