sorting answers to postings by date

perhaps this is not the right way to attack this question but it seems to me
that once i post a question to any of the various access discussion forums,
it would be useful to be able to sort them according to their recency. is
this a capability already available to me? if so, how would i go about that?

Looks like your using the web interface. It's much easier to read the
newsgroups with a news reader. You get one free with Windows. Outlook
Express. The are many others but OE is a good place to start. Take a look
at the following link for instructions on how to set up OE.
