Sort order in drop down list box

Hi, I'm a Newbie to Access who has just created his first drop down list
box. It is working fine, but I would like to have the data listed in
alphabetic order, rather than the order I originally entered it into the
table. Sorting the table into alphabetic order doesn't seem to change the
order in the list. What am I missing?

Create a query that uses the data from the table.
Sort the query on the field you wish.
The use the query as the combo box row source.
