Sort names in "Select Name" box

How do I change the sorting order so that the Select Name box displays names
by *last* name (when in creating new e-mail, after pressing "To" and a list
appears) in "Select Name" box.
 
You did not state your Outlook version. You did not state your view. If you
are asking how to sort the Outlook Address Book, no question has been
answered more frequently than that one. Find a post that matches your
version and read it.
