problems with sorting seem to have become problems with identifying a
sheet....... isn't the following sufficient for declaring a sheet?

(in the global declarations module): Public Bldgs As Worksheet
(in each individual module/userform sub where it's needed): Set Bldgs
= ActiveWorkbook.Worksheets(2)

is there something different i need to indicate a particular sheet?????
i looked @ posts re: worksheet versus worksheets & used

Dim SHName As String
SHName = Worksheets(1).Name
MsgBox "the nameof the first worksheet is" & SHName, vbOKOnly

to verify all the names & numbers of the worksheets.
any ideas, people?
:)
thanks
