Sort Distribution List by Last Name, First Name

I have my Contact sorted by Last Name, First Name and would like to have my
Distribution Lists sorted the same, i.e., Last Name, First Name. I used to
be able to do this in earlier versions of Outlook, but cannot find an option
to change the sort for Distribution Lists in Outlook 2007. Can someone
please help or Microsoft take note for future updates?

DL's will follow the sort order you specified for the Outlook Address Book.
If they do not, then you created the DL in a previous version of Outlook. It
would be fascinating to know why you think this ability is important.
Microsoft does not, and I'm struggling to come up with a reason that it
might be. Enlighten us.

Thank You for responding. The DL was created in a previous version of
Outlook, but that version had Last Name, First Name sequence. I quess what
happened is I Updated the DL which then altered the sequence. I duplicated
that scenario in Outlook 2007 and it was created in Last Name, First Name
sequence, but when I clicked Update the sequence changed.

In response to your question, most offices work in Last Name, First Name
sequence for all filing and reporting. When builing or comparing DL's to a
printed reorts it is VERY helpful to have the lists in the same sequence.

Outlook's DL's do not work once you migrate them incorrectly. Few people use
them. I still don't understand why sorting the view even matters. Enlighten
me.
