Sort by location does not work properly?

I am using Outlook 2003 and some of my contacts seem to loss the
Country/Region information when I set the Current View to be By Loction. A
location is specified for each contact by when I view By Location, some
contact are placed under Country/Region: (none).

These contacts did sort properly at one time.

If you open a Contact Record that sorts under none, what do you see in the
Country/Region field?

I see the Country/Region. I also thought that the Contry/Region was not
there but it was. I then choose the Country/Region again from the pull-down
menu, just in case Outlook had a problem reading it.

I also see it if I desplay a Phone List.

So a Contact Record that shows a valid entry in the Country/Region field
groups under "none" in the By location view?
I can't reproduce that behavior.
You may have some corrupt Contact Records. If you recreate one of these
Contacts does it then group properly? Have you tried repairing your file
with the Inbox Repair Tool?

I have not tried the repair tool.

What I have been doing is selecting the country below the one I want
(Uruguay for the Unites States, etc) and then changing back to the correct
county.

I took my pst file to another computer and I had different contact that were
placed under "none".

I will let you know if your suggestion works or not.

Your solution did not work. I went ahead and changed all of the
Country/Regions manually by selecting the country/region before or after the
correct one and then changing the information back.

It happens sometime if you have to profiles (users) on your computer.

That is not what I suggested.
I suggested creating a new Contact from scratch and seeing if it would group
correctly. That is to see if you had a corrupt Contact Record.
I also suggested repairing your PST file. That was to see if you had a
damaged PST file.
After that I would create a new profile. That is to see if you have a
corrupt Profile.
Beyond that, I have no suggestions.
