Sort by date!

How come I can't sort my files by date anymore? I used it a lot when I had
windows 98, but now I can only sort by year, which basically s useless. Could
somebody please tell me how I sort by date, if it is possible? And I would
love it if it was done in a very, VERY simple language, that means absolutely
NO computer gibberish.

In WIndows Explorer, the folders column, highlight the drive you wish to
apply the settings to. Go to View > Choose Details and you should have
about 32 options to choose from including date created, date modified, date
accessed.
 
I already tried that. The problem is that I don't have 32 options, I only
have 6! Is that a normal problem?!
 
In order to get all the options listed you need to have the drive selected
you wish to add them to i.e., Local Disk (C:) or they won't appear.
