I purchased a Sony DVD/CD Rewritable Drive (Model DW-22a) inline. The unit
was an OEM model and didn't come with any software. I tried the Sony site
and found that since the unit is OEM it's not supported by SOny. Does anyone
know where I can get drivers for the unit to work in XP home and later use on
media center?

Should not need drivers.
Just need software to utilize it.. Ahead Nero, Roxio EZ CD/DVD Creator, etc.

That drive is made by Lite-On.

It's the same as the Liteon SOHW-1633S. I've been using the firmware
updates from Lite-on with no problems.

The OP was looking for DRIVERS and not FIRMWARE.

1.) I was not replying to the OP, but to Shenan.
2.) No SH*T! And Shenan already answered him. You don't need drivers
for ATAPI devices with XP.

3.) I was not happy with the original firmware that came with the unit,
as it was finicky about the type of media it would burn. The Lite-On
firmware works much better, so if the OP was interested, I gave enough
info to tease the OP into asking about it, if and when he gets the drive
up and running, and burn a few coasters. I monitor the threads I post
to for a couple of weeks at least.

But thanks for stating the effin' obvious.
