sonic refuses printable discs

Hi again.
I am using sonic record now but when I try to record to a printable cd
sonic repeatedly asks for a blank disk, after inserting around ten I
gave up and inserted a normal disk and it wrote to it with no problem,
is there an obvious reason for this.

Sounds more like your hardware is having trouble with said discs... So the
software just cannot find what it needs.

Your drive doesn't seem to support that media. Check the drive's manufacturer's website to see if there is a firmware update that
supports those discs.
