sonic encoders

have roxio easy media creator 8, was working fine then had a update about
downloadin sonic encoders so i did which then gave me option to burn dvd in
wmm but it didnt work now my roxio authoring software not working either
help..

Uninstall the update using Windows Add/Remove software. Make sure there is a
check next to the box that gives you the option for showing updates.

i went to add and remove hardware not sure if i was at right place didnt see
anyplace to check box but roxio still not working goes through all steps and
encodes movie and doesnt burn even after it says 100% complete, then a window
opens showing my E drive with blank disk. help!

The checkbox is at the top of the Add/Remove Software window.
This is a new one on me Penny but it doesn't really sound like a problem
because of an update.
I would suggest checking with the manufacturer to see if there are updated
drivers otherwise I suspect the burner may be defective.
