Something's Stuck

I have a user who sent out a file that was way too large
(30+ MB) Naturally the messages were rejected and now he
has two HUGE emails stuck in the mailbox. I can't delete
them, the program just goes into "Not Responding" mode.
Reinstalling the program does nothing. Is there anything
I can do short of deleting the entire PST and with it all
of his contacts and other information? Thanks.
 
I deleted everything I could from our webmail server,
these have downloaded onto his machine.
