I have two connections set up: Default with XP firewall on and another with XP firewall off (for FTP'ing to web host). Something is periodically attempting to connect via the secondary connection. How can I find out what it is and either (a) stop it, or (b) make it use the default connection?

Greetings:

A third party firewall can give you that information..
as well as severity, and what port number it's using
or trying to use.. with that info you can block the port
and attacker..

Download it from here.

Hope this helps.

Uncheck the following

Control Panel-Internet options-Advance
Check for publisher’s certificate revocation
Check for server’s certificate revocation
Check for signature on downloaded programs

This may or may not work.
