Hi all
When I buy gadgets for my pc a driver disk usually comes supplied.
These drivers usually want to access the internet, hewlet packard
printer for example.
What is actually happening here are they stealing my email address?
This behaviour is never really explained in the instructions and HP wont
reply to emails about this.
Ps I usually block these with my firewall.

Normally it's to see if there are any updated drivers on the website. I
wouldn't worry about your email address if I were you.

Hello Brian
Setup a "throw away" email account for things like that.
Use Hotmail, Lycos, OperaMail, what ever. They all claim not to spam you
but
we all know "the truth".
