Some Web Pages Fail to Download Fully

I have already contacted this Forum about my problem with incomplete web
pages. For example, there is an item " Blue Screen" submitted at 11.20 PM
PST yesterday by "sierrasmommy2007", when I open this in the forum in
Internet Explorer the title is incomplete and appears as " Blue " .
Whereas if I open it using MSNEWS in Outlook Express I see the correct
title. This problem occurs with most downloads of messages in this
newsgroup, The problem not only occurs on Microsoft Newsgroups but also on
many other web pages, that is, gaps appear in the text on a downloaded web
page. This often happens on pages where I am required to make an entry
in order to proceed to another page. It also happens with downloads
using Opera to access the internet.

Please can anyone suggest a cause for this behaviour?

Yes.

The web interface does/seemingly always has been a horrible
substitute/front-end for the actual newsgroup format of these newsgroups.

Don't utilize it. ;-)

It is to do with the security settings of your browser. I suggest change all
settings to defaults and you should be OK. Alternatively, if you want to read
these newsgroups then you can use Windows Live Mail (available free of charge
from Microsoft website). This little program allows you to use the newsgroups
as if you are using any email program. That is you can compose your messages
OFF-LINE etc. and to read messages off-line as well.

To Kevin: Thank you for your reply, I have already changed to opening
Msnews in Outlook Express. My concern is not with the gaps that occur
using the web-based newsgroup pages but with gaps that occur on other
web-pages - see the penultimate paragraph of the my last message. That
is, gaps appear in the text on a number of web pages, but not every
web-page, and they occur in both of the browsers that I have been using.
They sometimes occur on web pages where I am required to click on a box to
make a choice, eg"yes/no" and the box may be missing. However, if I
click on the part of the text where I believe the box should be the computer
responds. My daughter tells me that, even if there is no text, the
underlying hyperlink is still operating..

I have had a response from elsewhere about which has helped with the above
problem. I have investigated a suggestion about faulty fonts and, using
Tools<Internet Options< Fonts< , I selected two new default fonts. I then
used Tools<Internet Options<Accessibility< and selected the three options to
alter the appearance of web pages. The text now appears to be complete. The
problem seems to indicate errors in the Fonts that were being used, although
I am not completely convinced since the errors in the displayed text were not
consistent and after looking more closely at the errors they seemed to be
mainly confined to words printed in Bold. However, this approach may help
other people who have this problem.
