Some rules don't work unless I run them

I am inundated by messages from Wall Street News Alert. I get about 20 a day.
They are all sent from the same user name but with different domains. I
finally figured out how to set the rule so it checks only the user name but
not the domain. The action is to permanently delete them. Although the rule
is turned on, it doesn't do anything unless I run it manually. Then, of
course, it works perfectly.

I have other rules that work sometimes but not others. Overall, Outlook
Express rules worked better than Outlook rules, and I'm very unsatisfied with
Outlook's rule feature. I'm running Outlook 2003 as a home user--my mail
service is from my ISP.

Any ideas?

Is it possible that multiple rules are acting on a single message, causing an
end result that isn't what you wanted? If so, try adding "stop processing
more rules" to each rule and see if that helps.

I don't think so--all the other Wall Street News Alert rules are turned off.
But it's posible that the junk mail filter is interfering. I clicked Not Junk
for one, but if you read one of my other posts, this affects the e-mail
address only, not the display name. Outlook places all Wall Street News
Alerts in my Junk Mail folder. How can I tell Outlook not to place these in
my junk Mail folder? Remember, these all have the same display name, and the
user name part of the e-mail address is all "wallstreetnewsalert," but the
domains are all different.

What is the exact text of the rule you're trying to use on the Wall Street
messages?
