some movie editing help?

Just want to grab short sections from films and put them together on
one new film. No, it's not porn, just wanted to get a selection of
bathroom humor, like farting, and string a bunch together. I already
have a bunch of diff burners/editors, just don't even know which does
what, with a minimum loss of brain cells. avi or mpg, preferred. TIA.

www.virtualdub.org is opensource and can first cut the parts of the films
you want
and you can convert them all to the same size and format...
then you can probably use the same program to stich them together...
I have not tried this but i think it should work..
also if you dont mind having it in wmv format you can use windows movie
maker
to stitch them together (it has a timeline etc) latest version of wmm is 2.1
with service pack
2, or if you want the standalone installer post back and i will tell you
where to find it.

Don't know much, but most things MS are a little strange, like their
movie player, that is so big, and Disneyfied, compared to VLC, that
just plays any thing you ask it too. Thanks for your words, as I'm a
slow mover, I prolly won't try this right now but I do think
documenting Farts is an important mission.
