Some folks get "enter network password" when opening a Word doc o.

A visitor to my website gets a pop-up when he tries to open a Word doc
hyperlink. It says "enter network password". He clicks on cancel and the
doc opens up. I can't reproduce this with my setup. We are both running XP
and the Word doc permissions are open. I'm not sure which version of IE he
is using. I have no problem with either IE rev 6 or Firefox rev 1. Any
suggestions?

It's a bug in Word 2000. Each user must download and install at least SR-1
to fix it.
