SOHC-5235K Setup Problems Solved

FYI everyone. I finally gave up after much repetitive, but
appreciated, advice and returned my drive for replacement. The new
drive installed and works wonderfully. I still only achive Multi-Word
DMA Mode 2 setup but it reads and records as advertised. Haven't
tried the DVD end of things but I'm happy for now. Thanks to all who
offered their kind advice.
