Software Updates

I notice in the UPDATE options that it updates both
Spyware defintions and software updates.

Will the software updates portion be tested? Could beta 2
be provided by way of a "update"?

If I am not mistaken, and I could be--one such update ocurred very early in
the beta. Whether this mechanism is used for a 2nd beta release probably
depends on how much the product changes, and also issues of volume--this
beta set a record for downloads from www.microsoft.com.

Given those two factors, I suspect that a new release will be via a new
download--but I'm guessing!
