software still won't install

Ken

I've cleaned cd's, updated DirectX, Downloaded Software to
try, restarted, deleted All temp files, logged in under
administrator, ran reg repair, scanned for viruses, shut
down anti virus software, tried a windows xp repair, went
to windows update, tried to install the software in
safemode, tried again in safe mode with command prompt.
I still can't get adobe premiere, 1 million recipes,Age Of
Empires2, and 90% of all other software to innstall, both
cd and downloaded on the hard drive, my primary cd rom is
only a cd rom,how-ever windows exp will install upgrade,
and/or repair. adobe premiere pro 70 trial will install
but my machine is to old to run it,age of mythology will
install also, So whats the problem and how do I fix it

Thank Ken

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and believe that when you
say you have downloaded the software to your hard drive that you copied
this software from the CD you purchased from a reputable source.

(As you surely know, software that is obtained from other sources often
doesn't work quite right and often will not install properly).

It's not normally required to copy software from CD to hard disk like
this. It is very well possible that the CD's are flawed. Or your CD
drive is flawed.

Since obtained this software from reputable sources, read the material
that came with the software about how to get support fromt the
appropriate firms, e.g. Adobe for Adobe Premier, and Microsoft for Age
of Empires. In all probability, the CD's are flawed and you probably,
since these are legitimate products, get replacement CDs from them.
