Software Restriction Policy

Hi there,

We have enabled software restriction policies and everything is working
great except for one small problem. Our policy is set to deny everything
except the applications that we specify.

We have only one application that should be exempt from the sofware
restriction policy.

To excempt it we added it in using a path rule (c:\sap\*.*)

The problem is that although added, when starting the application it still
complains that it is blocked.

Any ideas ?

How are you attempting to launch the SAP program? By default I believe
shortcut .LNK files are blocked. There is a setting in the restriction
policy that states what file extensions the policies apply to. Are you
able to run the program if you go directly to the EXE?
