software issue in win XP

not sure what group I should pos this question but here it is. I have
installed a prgram and it flashes on the screen when I open it. Some
"flashes" are longer than others and if I am quick enough I can act on that
screen to select where I ultimately need to get to within that program. what
do I need to to fix this problem? I have tried with another program that I am
having the very same issue with to uninstall and reinstall but the problem
persists. it seems that windows XP is closing my program for me immidately
after I open it.

Without knowing what the program is or the requirements for it, it is
pretty difficult to diagnose remotely. Try giving the folks a little
info to go on next time you post.
