Software installation using GPO's

Hello,

I'm using SUS to deploy critical windows updates to the workstations. That's
OK. Since windows update is only for OS patches I was looking for a way to
deploy other updates like office service packs which can also be a security
issue.

I was thinking of software installation using group policy. Is this the
correct/only method to automate these kind of updates?
