Software Assistance. Can anyone advise?

P

My wife has purchased a Textbook which has a companion CDrom with various
animations/demos etc:
The CD software does not install on the HD and runs OK.
The problem is the software runs full screen and the demos etc are all
Shockwave animations that run in IE but behind the desktop. In order to see
the demos we have to use the Windows Key to get the Taskbar and then click
on the IE minimised screen to bring it on top of the desktop to view it.
I hope you can understand what I mean.
Is there a setting in XP / IE etc that will allow these IE/Shockwave windows
to open on top of the Desktop?
Any help much appreciated.
Running XPHome SP2 fully updated.
