SoftICE leads to WinXP hang

Hi ppl

I have a problem with sofICE. I have installed softICE successfully. On
starting the softICE manually...the command line shows a successful
loading of the debugger. But then..the computer hangs. On pressing
Ctrl-D the softIce window pops up and shows the following:

API hook failure: MiMapViewofImageSection
API hook failure: MiUnMapViewImageSection
API hook failure: MiAddValidPageToWorkingSet
API hook failure: MiCopyOnWrite

The keyboard and the mouse has hooked successfully...
Int0E fault in SoftICE at address F30AeeF4 offset 00093C50

I have to do an emergency reboot of my comp at this point. Please help
me to get this debugger working properly.

Any help would be appreciated
