I've got a Ricoh PCMCIA card reader that requires Softex's Winroute to work
properly. Winroute only seems to work for Windows 2000 and lower and not for
XP. I've recently upgraded to XP Pro and when I install the Winroute
software a BSOD will appear when I restart the machine and the software does
not run. Without Winroute the PCMCIA card reader is useless. Can any one
suggest a work around or any thing for this problem. Any help will be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for posting!

However, it seems that we have to find the updated Softex Winroute driver
to make your Ricoh PCMCIA card work.

So I searched Internet and searched goole with the keyword "softex
winroute" (without the quotation marks). It seems that Softex has its
offical web site named http://www.softexinc.com. However, I cannot connect
to it with Connection refused message.

I hope that you can visit the web site and can get the contact information
to see if they have the updated driver or workaround to solve this problem.

Have a nice day!

Thanks & Regards,

I'm having problems getting to that site at the moment, but I visited that
site a while back and there were no download section to get that software.
I'll probably have to email them and ask them where I can download it.

Thanks Feng Mao

Hi all,

I had the same Problem!

But its easy to fix it, just uninstall the winroute drivers
XP has its own drivers for it.

Hope it works not just for me :)
