Who knows which version of SNMP (1,2, or 3) the SNMP agent is that
comes with WinXP Pro?

comes with WinXP Pro?

WinXP Pro's SNMP service supports SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c protocols.

If you need also support for SNMPv3 (or exclusive SNMPv3 support for
strong security), you may wish to consider replacing Microsoft's
SNMP service with MG-SOFT's SNMP Master agent
(http://www.mg-soft.com/agent.html).
