Anyone know of a way of remotely installing (via Active Directory, or
scripts) SNMP into 2000 Pro or 2000 AS ? I know it can be done
manually through Add/Remove components, but I want to do it
automatically. I thought maybe via .msi files.

Adrian,

The only way that I know to do this is to go through Add/Remove
Programs.....

Try using sysocmgr and the file attached with a tool like psexec from
SysInternals to run it remotely. The attached file must be renamed in
accordance with sysocmgr's syntax. I am away from my office, so I don't
have the filename correct.

I haven't ever loaded SNMP with it, but I have successfully used it for
loading various IIS components.

Also attached are links to a couple of docs that might assist you.
