Cousin pt ....

I tried the online demo using firefox under linux ....

Firefox presented a warning that a script was causing
my computer to run slowly and may become unstable ....

I chose to continue but it was so slow that I eventually
gave up and cancelled it ....

Without knowing more about it, I'll give the program
the benefit of the doubt and say that my 'puter is old
and slow ....

Does the online demo work for you ?

I noticed that there is a free version available
but a single-seat developer license for the full version
is currently $500 US ....

Thanks for the confirmation ....

At least it's good to know thet the failure
may not be due to my old and slow pc ....

Too bad. would've made an excellent program.

Yes, it really sounded interesting to me as well ....

I think flash technology has a very high potential
for program and web development in many areas,
although I also feel that it has often been used
in ways that doesn't really show its full potential,
e.g. flash just for the flash alone with no substance ....

I was a huge fan of the old Macromedia Shockwave ShockMachine
mainly for its unique , fun, and eye-catching program interface
and although I wasn't really interested in the games themselves
I thought the potential for developing unique interfaces
was something to look forward to ....

It's also too bad that some group a bit cooler than Adobe
didn't take over Macromedia ....
