SMTP ERROR

I m getting this error when I say send and recieve mail as:
An unknown error has occurred. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800C0131.
I m using exchange 2000 some time it is gone and work fine but some time it
not work fine.
If some one have any solutions pls send me.
I will be very thankfull to all.

If you're using Exchange, I son't understand why you're getting an SMTP
error, since Exchange accounts don't use SMTP at all. You're not stating
all the facts. The usual references to this all describe Outlook Express
problems.
