SMSS.EXE / CSRSS.EXE

Hi :

I am trying to send an email attaching a file (45 kb
size) and I can not do it, because I have those two file
in my computer. Those one are virus and a technical
support from verizon DSL told that two files can causes
problem by time I want to send and email with attachment.
I would like to know how I can remove those to files from
my computer and try to see if I can email attaching files.

The files CSRSS.exe and SMSS.exe are not viruses and are required services
for Windows. See the following article for more information:

What is the name of the virus you were told that you have? You can try the 3

First of all, SMSS.EXE and CSRSS.EXE are not viruses, they are part of the
OS.
If you get rid of CSRSS.EXE (which you cannot in Windows)....your system
will not boot. If you stop the CSRSS.EXE process, your machine will
blue-screen.
SMSS.EXE is also an essential Windows process.

DO NOT DELETE THESE FILES.
You seem to have received some terrible advice.

If you are using Outlook Express to try and send email attachments, the OE
group will probably be a better place to find a resolution to your issue.
