Smartclients clickonce and smartcards question

We are planning to deploy a smartclient application to remote locations
using the .NET 2.0 ClickOnce technology.

This smartclient needs to be able to communicate with a smartcard reader USB
device that will be installed on the remote machines.

My question is will the "sandbox" security applied to ClickOnce deployed
clients allow us to see the smartcard reader device?
