SmartArt charts

I am attempting a chart using SmartArt. I have intertwined circles with
different colors with circles on the outer edges in different colors. Am
wanting the area of the outer circle that overlaps the large circle to be
shaded. I have 8 circles on the outside - six show the shading and 2 don't.
Can't figure out why the 2 aren't shading. Any help

I'm having difficulty picturing what you have in front of you. Could you
take us through step by step what you have done, how you added shapes, the
name of SmartArt used, the theme, anything that might be pertinent

I appreciate you taking time to respond. I realize I was very vague - but it
was hard to describe. After several hours, I was able to fix the chart.
