I am just learning access, and while trying to use smart tags for the very
first time, I am finding that there are none listed when I follow the guide
book I am training from.

Please help me find them or get them.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, Jerry.
while trying to use smart tags for the very
first time, I am finding that there are none listed

Select the Tools -> Options... menu to open the Options dialog window.
Select the "Forms/Reports" tab, then ensure that the "Show Smart Tags on
Forms" check box on the bottom left of the window is checked. Select the
"Datasheet" tab, then ensure that the "Show Smart Tags on Datasheets" check
box on the bottom right of the window is checked.

Select the "OK" button to save your changes.

it's not clear how you are trying to use the smart tags, and where there's
none listed. have you tried trouble-shooting your database by searching for
Smart Tags in Access Help? i found 5 related topics in my Help search, which
include instructions on showing, hiding, and adding smart tags.
