SMART Failure

upon startup, i recieve "SMART Failure detected.
Immediately backup files." etc etc. and "F1 SETUP F2
CONTINUE" so i press F2. everytime, it get's worse and
worse. what may be the cause of this problem and how can
i fix it?

Backup your files. Your hard drive is failing and needs replacement.

That is a hard drive failure message.
Back-up important data immediately if not sooner.

Then go to the website of the hard drive manufacturer and download
their hard drive diagnostics.

If the computer or hard drive is still in warranty, contact them for
warranty.
