I am looking for the smallest possible ATX tower case. So far I have
found these from Antec...

Antec SLK2650-BQE 16.5"(H) x 8.25"(W) x 16.5"(D)
Antec SLK1650B 16.6"(H) x 7.8"(W) x 16.5"(D)
Antec Lanboy 16.5"(H) x 8.25"(W) x 16.5"(D)

Anyone know of a smaller case?

If you can make do with only a couple of PCI slots, check out an antec aria.
By definition, a full size ATX case will be relatively large. -Dave

Yes, I got three of these and give them 5 out of 5 stars.
5.75" x 14.5" x 15" (W x H x D)

With this Biostar board there are no problems between the HSF and the
DVD drive. I believe the Lite-on drives are 2/3 the standard size so
that would be good with other boards.

That board runs a mobile 2400+ at over 2.4GHz in that case, with no
problems.

I don't know what he plans to put in it but that case has the PSU sideways
across the top of the motherboard and no rear fan mounts so it could be
problematic from a cooling standpoint.

The 'smallest' full ATX case type I can think of would be a 'slim' desktop
style, typically around 17w x 17d x 5.25h, that you could then sit on it's
side for a slim 'tower'. The drives would be vertical instead of horizontal
in that arrangement.

I don't plan on putting anything too wild into it, but zero rear fan
mounts just won't work in the small space I have to put the system.

If you have a small space then trying to fit a full size ATX into it is
working against you.

Why not a mATX? You CAN get some semi 'small' cases in that size. In fact,
I just ordered one that's 14 x 13.5 x 5.25, with 2 rear fan mounts in
addition to the traditional front fan mount.

Why not the SuperLanboy? Almost the same specs as the above except maybe an
inch deeper. Very compact and lightweight but sturdy, runs cool and quite
functional.
I love mine and I've been using it for almost 9 months.

I don't understand your situation. Do you own an ATX motherboard that
you are trying to reuse, but want the smallest possible case? I've been
around this bend and have concluded that the easiest way out is to
simply purchase a small, barebones "Book PC". Reuse your memory, hard
disk, floppy,DVD, etc.
