or save one of the page color bookmarklets at:

as a bookmark/favorite and invoke it to change the background color.

This is a perfect case for "Clarify Button" if you use IE 5.0 or higher.

Doesn't work with tabbed browsers (Crazy Browser), it just opens
another tab with nothing on it.

user_pref("browser.display.background_color", "#FFFFFF");
