I had a small toolbar that contained my desktop icons. It was only about 4
inches long, and it contained shortcuts to my various applications. I
inadvertantly deleted it. How do I restore it? It wasn't the Office
toolbar, but had icons for applications that were not from MS.

TIA.

Thank you, but that doesn't seem to give me what I am looking for. It gives
me several choices for toolbars, Desktop, Office, but it appears across the
entire top of the screen, and the one I lost was only about 4 inches long.
Am I doing something incorrectly?

Thanks again.

You can drag the tool bar wherever you like. Was it floating or attached to
the Taskbar? Did you mean Quick Launch? You can also create any number of
new custom tool bars and place them as desired.

Right-click the Taskbar|Toolbars|New Toolbar|Desktop|OK then drag the
toolbar off of the Taskbar and size and position it as needed.
