what is this sm bus controller, my new hardware keeps
popping up...anybody know what driver I need to
install..???

I use Mic. XP Prof. Dell

Often it's a Smart Media Card reader if it's on a Toshiba notebook.... the
drivers are available at the Toshiba website.
