Any reasonable explanation for a slow Windows Vista mail system? My email
system (the new and improved Outlook in Vista) is so slow to start and even
to get to compose. Are there any tweaking settings?

Windows Mail is not the new and improved Outlook. It is the new incarnation
of Outlook Express.

First it has to be coded into transmittable form. This adds about 40% to an
image.

even size of 350kb gives problem. yesterday i sent one attachment size 2.2 mb
which took 43 minutes to go thru on broadband connection.

I think stopping the antivirus scan will do the trick. Thanks for reminding
me of this. I needed to do this with XP SP2.

Hi Robert,

Try these solutions to see if they can help you speed Windows Mail back
up.
