slow sync over VPN

After I connect to my corporate VPN over cable modem, my outlook sync is very very slow.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Is their a service pack or update?

Well ofcourse it is slower than normal as you are now using the Internet
instead of the internal LAN. Upstream and downstream speeds of both clients
are key factor in this just like how busy the line is.

If the resolving of server names goes very slowly you might want to add an
entry for those servers in your HOSTS-file. You'll need to know the
IP-address of the servers for this. Ask your administrator if you don't know
them. You also might want to report this issue to your administrator so that
he/she can see whether the line bandwith of the company is a bottleneck.
