Live mail use to work much quicker. seems to really dog down when I change
account or news group. It is really noticeably slow. Is there some way to
find out what is slowing it down?

If you are talking about the "Windows Live Mail" program, you are
posting to the wrong newsgroup.
This newsgroup is dedicated to the Windows Mail program.
You will get more help by posting that issue in the WLM newsgroup:

Vista allows you to run the Windows Mail program, or, if you have
downloaded it, the Windows Live Mail program. Which of these
are you using?

There's not much use in asking about either of them in the newsgroup
meant for the other one, as you appear to have done.
