slow start up

i have win2k and my computer takes forever to load...it
takes almost 4-5 minutes for my computer to load up and
have all the apps load. how can i improve start up time?

Make sure you don't have viruses, worms, trojans or other malware.
Reduce the number of "Apps" that load.
Reduce the number of services that load.

Reduce the amount of hardware installed so drivers don't need to load.
Install faster processor.
