Slow sd card reader in Vista...will there be a fix?

Or is this a problem only I am having?? Sd card transfer is just INCREDIBLY
slow in read or write. I have Vista Home Premium and an HP m8100y computer
with its standard card reader.

Are you all current with Windows Update? There's
one that addresses SD problems, although I'm not sure
it fixes yours.

In addition to SV's comment, Vista SP1 addresses some of these issues as
