Slow response after hibernation

Helpme

I have a problem with a laptop running W2000P. After the
client puts it into hibernation the next day it has slow
response. Of course he leaves all applications and
sessions running. I have looked at the trace and I see
problems with the SMB/CIFS sessions. Once the user closes
all the applications and starts again everything is fine.

Any ideas

Not sure it's relevant but some netcards (even from reputable mfg.) don't
correctly resume after hibernation. They seem to work but actually don't.
After hibernation try to disable and then enable the netcard.
If this helps, you got this issue.
